STARTING SIMPLE PART I

Are you constantly inundated with all of the do this and get rich or buy my software/ebook and you'll make money hands over fist? I have only been marketing on the Internet for just a few months and already I have just about up-chucked on all of the hype ! There are quiet a few things you can do to get started until you can afford all of the nice software programs with all of the bells and whistles.

When I started my Internet journey, I didn't have very much in the way of monetary means, but still, I was eager to make this thing work. This is how I started:

I got organized. Now there are programs that will help you do this to a certain degree, but what I did didn't cost me a single red penny.

1. I made a folder on my desk top-you can make one anywhere you want-and labeled it Marketing.
-In that folder I made as many sub folders as neccessary depending on what program/affiliate program or software I joined or downloaded. Sort of like this. I made a folder just for the FREE software program Good Key Words. I have moved it into a folder called web tools. Get the picture? You can always go back and re-organize your folders as your aquisition of information/programs etc. grows.

2. The same applies to all of my affiliate programs. I would list in that one folder all my affiliate info, passwords, user i.d.'s, affiliate URL's login URL etc. Having all of this information in one place can save a ton of time.

3. When I sign up for a newsletter or e-zine, I make a sub-folder in my email client within my misc. folder. This was a sub-folder I had already made. I was careful to make sure that each sub-folder was created under the misc. folder and not the last folder I created under Misc. Confused? Let me explain. Ex. Misc. is my primary email folder that I move most of my email that's unrelated to Internet Marketing. Under that folder, I have a folder for Host4Profit. All emails sent to me from them are put in that folder. I still have the original welcome email they sent me. I have a seperate folder-again, created under misc. not H4P called web receipts.Every thing that I purchase or have an e-receipt for goes in there. Get the picture? I use Outlook as it was on the computer when I bought it, but you can do the same with Eudora or any other email client you wish to use, even Yahoo or Hotmail etc.

1. Good key words. http://www.goodkeywords.com

2. JimWorld. http://www.jimworld.com . I can't say enough about this web site. It has discussion forums, tutorials, articles...this list is too big to fit here.

3. There are a bunch of free hosting companies out there if you're not able to pay for hosting just yet...more on my personal pick in the next letter...just go to google and search free hosting or something similar.

4. Templates? There's ton's of those too ! You can also find those on google. Here's one I just thought about.

There is so much out there that sometimes it's hard to sift through it all. In the next update, I will list some of the tools out there that won't break the bank but get the job done and get it done right.
