In the interest of helping you learn some of the important aspects of product pricing and packaging, I humbly offer the following for your consideration .
If you look at the sales letter on my site (see sig file for url) - you'll notice that I don't offer a bunch of Bogus 'Bonuses' because I'm insecure about the honest and true value of our First Contact Secrets course. And .
You won't receive a bunch of ebooks everyone else peddles and few people ever read ...
What I offer *everyone* who wants it is a free eCourse to get started understanding the mandatory nature of the big picture in which you get one chance to make a first impression, and that it can be really very difficult to get in front of the people you need to see and know.
The market is incredibly crowded and noisy, and everyone is suffering from infoglut and terrible first contact attempts. So you have to get noticed or you're sunk ...
I've had several people suggest to me that, as part of your purchase of FCS, I 'GUARANTEE' you that I'll put your offers in front of the contributors to the FCS course. Wow - that would surely make a compelling pitch for FCS, for sure - but it's a lie.
And I won't lie to you. I simply refuse to do that .
The primary goal of FCS is to teach YOU how to contact ANYONE you want to contact. It's far more valuable to you to know how to do it - right? Then you determine your own destiny ... with skill ...
Plus, frankly, I take issue with marketers who offer a bunch of nonsense bonuses of free ebooks and free reports, etc. What credibility do you reinforce in your readers' and purchasers' eyes if you keep diluting the value of your main product while mistakenly believing you're enhancing its value?
Hey, if the free reports were any good, and had any relevance to the product, why weren't they *included* in the product itself? Is the product incomplete without the ebooks and free reports? (Obviously, at times, there are exceptions to my point here.)
( See how my mind works? ;-0 )
Wouldn't you be just a bit suspicious if the Ford salesman said, I tell you what ... if you'll buy the Escort I'll throw in a beat up old Chevy Blazer today and today only, and this offer ends in 6 hours, 31 minutes, and 44 seconds? (using a bogus Java countdown timer)
Come on! Get real .
I put FCS together during May - September 2003. I promise you that FCS stands on its own as an unprecedented, current, relevant product available nowhere else in the market at any price. It is 100% complete.
In addition, FCS is only available through me (or through an FCS affiliate) because it does NOT come with resale rights. If anyone gets FCS anywhere except through me, it's a pirated copy or someone selling their own copy. Plain and simple .
Why did I say all this?
The 'bonuses' that come with FCS are [1] a CD ($297) of the course you can use on your laptop when you travel, or just feel like reading the course on your computer, or in the odd case that something happens to your printed manuals ... and [2] a complimentary certificate for a consulting session with me ($150.)
Honest, straightforward bonuses that both reinforce the value of FCS, not dilute it. They enhance ... not detract ...
The consulting session is there in addition to the (unadvertised) eCourse that comes with FCS to teach you how to use your course. So in a way, the consulting guarantees you your First Contact (with me) and gives you the opportunity to ask your most pressing question or get help with your most difficult challenge.
To me, that's real value.
Another 'unadvertised FCS bonus' is that I will introduce you to any Big Player of your choice I know at a live event we happen to attend together, even if you don't buy your 'ticket' through me. That's real value [priceless.] And it's guaranteed First Contact #2.
Another 'unadvertised bonus' is that I've recently done teleseminars with Jason Potash, and with Dr. Mike of Randy Charach's group so far, to which *all* FCS list members were invited. Others are planned now - both free and paid ...
Why did I include these 'unadvertised' bonuses? They are relevant to the main product, and the only surprises I want you to have are good surprises, so I deliver more than you originally expect ... so you'll feel the Wow! factor in person .
And in addition, there are STILL MORE unadvertised bonuses you get with FCS that are NOT listed on the site and I WON'T tell you about here. Why?
Like I said, I like surprises! ;-) ...
So, to close ... I've had several people tell me that I'm crazy to offer FCS so inexpensively because so many other people sell half that value for 2 or 3 times the FCS price.
One of the FCS contributors even remarked that there is over $100,000 in real, solid consulting and marketing advice in the FCS course. FCS is information, methods, tips, and secrets you'd ask the Big Players if they would sit down with you personally and let you pick their brain for hours ... but they won't let you .
And that not a bonus - that's the main course ... so you get easily $100K in consulting advice, the course manuals and CD, complimentary consulting, and connections through me to the Big Players of your choice (priceless.)
Plus all the unadvertised but highly relevant 'surprises.'
Seems like a fair deal to me.
FCS is NOT for the 'free ebook collecting' crowd; it's for serious marketers who have outgrown the acquisition phase and moved to the 'Do It' phase. I cannot and will not drop the price. In the real world, $297 won't typically buy you one hour with anyone in the FCS course.
The FCS course is over 820 pages. Some chapters are a few pages and some are over 30 or 40 pages ... so it's an easy 'read.' It's also so interesting that you'll have a really hard time putting it down so you can get some sleep ... ;-) ...
FCS teaches you how to approach, contact, build relationships with, and do deals with 43 Master Marketers. What you learn can also be employed to contact anyone, anywhere, any time, for any reason in your daily life.
That's why FCS has been called Your Keys to the Kingdom.
I hope you'll seriously consider joining our FCS 'family.' And by the way . here's one last benefit for you. If you have your own copy of FCS, you can use that leverage to introduce yourself to the Big Players who are in the FCS course! What's the value of that?
Hope this helps you understand a bit about pricing and packaging your own products, as well as including relevant, valuable 'bonuses' that add real true value instead of making up for the main product's inherent shortcomings.
And, I'm not trying to be harsh telling you these things ... just trying to illustrate the thought process you should employ as you look at marketing your own products ...
God Bless you,
Chip Tarver
