I know what your thinking. Yeah I know fishermen fish for
fish, but I don`t fish for people. Actually,,, yes you do!
Fisherman, need the right type of equipment. Baits, hooks,
pole(s), Net, boat, oh and a tacklebox for all the baits
and lures They need to go where the fish are (they know the
fish won`t come to them). Oh, and serious fishermen test to
see which bait works best. Once the fisherman finds one that
works,,,he/she milks it for all its worth :)
I know what your thinking again. Well Randy thats great if
I want to go fishing, but, what does that have to do with
me. I`m an online marketer trying to get sign ups and make
sales. Not catch fish or people. Well,,,if you don`t catch
people YOU Won`t get any sign ups,and you won`t make any
sales at all. None whatsoever
Just like the fisherman, you must have the equipment to get
the job done. Computer, internet connection, text editor of
some type, website, and so on.
Do you know what the most important part of the fisherman`s
equipment is? Clue: sounds like paint. Hey you guessed it.
Boy your good :) It`s the BAIT! Without the bait there will
be no fish caught.
It`s the same for the online marketer.
Your baits are your sales copy Headlines. The hooks are your
Classified Ads, Top Sponcer Ads, Solo Ads.The sales copy on
your website is the net. Your boat is also your website,thats
where the people you`ve got on the hook make the Purchase,or
sign up to your program.
Listen, what I`m about to say goes against what most of those
that are considered Guru`s are telling everyone. Alot of the
Guru`s say that the money is in the list.I don`t care who
says this, it is not exactly right. The list is an important
part of overall online marketing success,it is not the most
important part. Here`s why.....
You can have a list of millions of people. But how do they get
to your website? They don`t get a spirit message from above,
they read a Headline,Class Ad, Solo ad,sales letter, or what
ever type of sales copy you used. So you see, the real money
is in your sales copy, not your list of people.
Lets see if I can tie a knot on this article.
Fishermen use many different types of bait for the same type
of fish. Some baits work for catching different types of fish.
Other baits only work on one type of fish.
It`s the same for You the online marketer. One Headline may
work for a certain type of person, while another may work on
a broader segment of people. Your Headline should draw people
to it like the right bait will draw the fish to the hook,line
and pole that it is attached to.
The hook line and pole are Your Classified Ads,ETC. Your Ads
should draw people to Your website. Your website Sales copy
should get people to make the Purchase or join your program.
If your not fishing for people with your own equipment IE:
writing your own Sales Copy. Don`t say you can`t write Sales
Copy. Yes You Can :) It just take s a little practice. I know.
I made no money online using the ad copy that was furnished
by any of the affiliate programs I`m in until two months ago
when I started writing my own Ad Copy. One Ad I wrote myself
resulted in an 800% increase in sign ups.
