Using these ideas, you can get people to do just about
anything you want and whenever you want. It's that
powerful.

In a perfect world, people would do things for you out of
pure generosity and get nothing in return. This is far from
a perfect world so in order for people to do things for you
they must benefit somehow.

People want to know what's in it for them before they do
anything that requires time or money. C'mon, you're the
same way, why would you expect others to be different?

The next time you want people to do something no matter how
small give them an incentive and tell them how they'll
benefit from taking action.

Here are some things you might want people to do using
incentives.

Get joint venture partners to work with you. Get people to
join your newsletter. Get people to give you a testimonial.
Get people to download your free viral eBook. Get people to
post to your forum. Get people to read your articles. Get
people to pass around your articles. Get people to fill out
a survey. Get people to link to your site.

Never ask anything of anybody and expect them to know what
they will get out of the deal. Always tell them.

What can you give away as an incentive?

A simple eBook that you have give away rights to works. The
better the incentive the more likely you will get a
response, obviously.

You don't have to give a monetary incentive. If you're
asking for testimonials you can tell them that the more
testimonials you have on your sales page the easier it will
be for affiliates to make sales.

If you want them to read your free eBook you should hide a
special link in the eBook so people have to read it to find
out what they can get.

So many times I see people asking me to do this and do that
as a favor. Sorry man, what's in it for me?

You should also always put a time limit on your request.
That will get people to take action when in their mind
they're putting it off for something more important. If I
have two things to do and one of them has a time limit, you
can be sure I'm going to do whatever has a time limit on
it.

Make sure to really mean it when you set a time limit so
you don't lose your credibility.

Remember to use incentives with a time limit for every
request you make of somebody.
