Why would anybody want to work for him or herself?
I mean more often then not you end up working a lot more hours than before.
You have to make all the decisions.
When things go terribly wrong you have no one to blame but yourself.
You have to have enough capital to get your business off the ground and keep it going until you get into profit.
You have to make sure you have the right licenses and permits to meet state and local government regulations.
All the taxes that pertain to your business have to be paid at the appropriate times to state and local governments.
Are you willing to take risks, most successful businesses never made it without some type of risks?
You have to be a self-starter, motivated; full of energy and stay focused on providing a product or service at an affordable price so the public will buy from you.
With all these obstacles, and a lot more, why would anybody in their right mind want to put themselves through all that stress? I'll tell you why!
Freedom! Freedom to be your own boss. Freedom to decide where your children are going to school.
Freedom to provide for your family for generations to come.
Freedom to help whoever is in need.
You want to be able to make the decisions that your family needs not a boss. You know what is best not your boss.
Let me share a little story with you called the fox and the hare.
One day a fox saw a hare hopping in the woods and decided to take chase for his dinner. The hare zigzagged, darted in and out and weaved through the forest until he escaped.
As the fox walked backed to his den another fox asked him how is it that a small hare could escape from a sly hungry fox.
The other fox said, I was running to catch the hare for my dinner, but the hare was running for his life.
That's a great childhood story that makes sense in so many ways. Parents read this and other childhood stories to their children all the time without really understanding what is being said.
You see, that's the mentality you need to work for yourself and be successful. That's the attitude you must have in life in what ever you do.
You have to go head on to meet your challenges as if your life depended on it.
You have to make a decision, if you are going to work for yourself you must give it 100% as if your life depended on it, otherwise you may as well be content working for somebody else.
Why work for yourself? That is a serious question you have to answer honestly because if you are not willing to put forth massive effort, forget it and get a J-O-B.
